Essdee SoftCut is designed as an alternative to Lino. Formulated for very easy cutting, it holds fine detail without crumbling and yet stands hard against the pressures of printing presses. Finely smooth on one side, textured on the other, SoftCut is both double sided and flexible.
SoftCut can be drawn on with pencil, due to its near white surface. To transfer an image, simply rub soft pencil on the back of lightweight paper (or directly on the back of the image), place the sheet graphite-side-down in between the image and soft lino, and press through using a hard pencil.
Carbon and Transfer Papers do not work with SoftCut – use standard Essdee Lino for transferring images with these products.
